Mi investigación se centra en el estudio de cómo el clima y la competencia intra- e interespecífica afectan a masas forestales de montañas mediterráneas compuestas por Quercus faginea, Quercus pyrenaica y Pinus sylvestris. El enfoque utilizado es la dendroecología, incluyendo la modelización del crecimiento para realizar proyecciones bajo escenarios de cambio climático, análisis del contenido de isótopos de carbono en anillos y dinámicas intra-anuales de crecimiento y xilogénesis. 

También colaboro en el proyecto europeo DIABOLO, que busca la armonización de indicadores de evaluación del estado de conservación de espacios protegidos de la Red Natura 2000 mediante el uso de datos procedentes de inventarios forestales nacionales.

My research focuses on the effect of climate and intra- and interspecific competition on the growth and dynamics of mountainous sub-Mediterranean forest systems formed by Quercus faginea, Quercus pyrenaica and Pinus sylvestris. We use different dendroecological approaches, including annual growth modelization, tree-ring carbon isotope ratios and intra-annual growth dynamics and xylogenesis.

I also collaborate in the European project DIABOLO, which aims to harmonize indicators to assess the conservation status of conservation areas of the Natura 2000 Network by using national forest inventory data.
